The University of Surrey has been named the fifth most popular first choice university for students who want to attend a UK university in 2016. That’s according to the results of a survey that was released ahead of the UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) annual report on university entrances. Surrey also took sixth place among the top second choice universities.

Loughborough was the number one first choice university, with Leeds, Manchester and Nottingham coming second, third and fourth, respectively.

Surrey’s success in the survey complements its recent achievements in the Times and Sunday Times University League Tables 2016. The University was named University of the Year and now ranks in eighth place in the UK.
