Extended International Foundation Year Programmes

A three semester extended pathway programme

The Extended International Foundation Year* is perfect for students who need extra time and support to prepare for a degree at the University of Surrey. Taught over three semesters, the programme includes academic subjects, study skills and English language training. You will study core modules and subject-specific modules relevant to your chosen degree. Assessment is through a mixture of examinations and coursework.

Upon successful completion of the programme, achieving the required grades, you can progress to the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree.  

Is the extended course for me?

Study this extended course if you do not meet the entry requirements for the two-semester International Foundation Year. We will support you to improve your English language and academic skills ready for your degree. You can choose from a number of routes depending on the degree you are looking to progress to.
