From September 2018, the University of Surrey International Study Centre will offer preparation programmes for postgraduate degrees as well as undergraduate degrees.
The one or two-semester Pre-Masters programme is designed to introduce you to the inclusive and student-focused UK learning and teaching styles. It will prepare you for the exciting challenges of a taught Masters course at the University of Surrey – ranked 10th in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2018. Completing the programme will enable you to progress with the confidence, knowledge and understanding you need to succeed.
You can choose from three subject pathways:
- Management, Finance and Economics*
- Health and Medical Sciences*
By studying the Pre-Masters programme, you will develop a wide range of skills, including academic English language, critical thinking and reading skills, research skills and other study skills needed for study at Masters level. You will also deepen your practical, employability and transferable skills, which will help you when you come to launch your career.
If you need support to reach the IELTS requirement before you begin your academic pathway, you can study one or two semesters of English for Pre-Masters.
We are delighted to be welcoming the first intake of Pre-Masters students at the International Study Centre this September, with the second intake beginning in January 2019.
