Students have ranked University of Surrey seventh nationally in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2018. They gave stellar feedback on academia, student welfare, security, and facilities.

In this year’s survey, 15,000 undergraduates throughout the country expressed their views on student life at university. Students have given nothing but praise to University of Surrey, ranking it seventh out of 116 higher education institutions.

Professor Jane Powell, Vice-Provost of Education and Students at the University of Surrey, said: “I am pleased that our students continue to speak positively about their experiences here. This is built on the close working relationships between staff and students in all areas, and we are proud of the work we do with our student representatives to ensure they get the very best experience whilst at Surrey.”

The University keeps on introducing new initiatives to provide the student experience of a lifetime:

  • Feel well with professional counselling and varied mental health resources
  • Keep healthy with the popular “SurreyMoves” scheme run by the University’s Sport Park
  • Catch up with work using the lecture recording facilities, now available in more than 80% of teaching rooms
  • Stay connected with student life online once the University finishes developing its own app
